President Sahabuddin takes oath, distributes sweets and participates in a procession in Pabna
Awami League and allied organization activists in Pabna distributed sweets and held a procession to celebrate the oath-taking of Pabna’s own son, freedom fighter Mohd. Sahabuddin Chuppu, as the 22nd President of Bangladesh. In addition, the general public also expressed their joy.
On Monday (April 24th), Mohd. Sahabuddin Chuppu took oath at 11 am at the Bangabhaban as the President. A ceremony was arranged in a grand manner at the Awami League office in Pabna district for the public to witness the oath-taking. Pabna Sadar MP Golam Faruk Prince initiated this program. After taking the oath, prayers were offered for the new President at the Awami League office in Pabna. After the prayers, sweets were distributed, and a procession was taken out in the city.
The procession started in front of the Awami League office in the district and ended in front of the same office. At this time, sweets were distributed among the rickshaw drivers, van drivers, and pedestrians along the main road. Pabna residents expressed their delight and joy at the appointment of a President from their district.
